Ananya started to talk and sam listened. They shared their family and educational backgrounds. As they were talking sam realized that there was some kind of waves flowing between them. They shared many things in common and they sync very well. When the cab reached her house, sam wanted to ask for her mobile number but was afraid of her reaction so waved his hand and wished her good night.

There was a slim breeze at that hour of night, very gentle one, moving her silky hair like a Mexican wave. He was mesmerized with her beauty and was looking at her intently; all of a sudden she turned back, completely taking sam, off the guard. She smiled at him and went inside her home. That night sam was not able to sleep. He was thinking about her only.

Next day sam went to office hoping to have a conversation with her. When he entered his floor he saw her, but found there was something wrong with her. There was no liveliness in her face. He said hi but she responded meekly. He was disturbed because of her gloomy mood.

Sam and his team were having coffee that time Ananya came there with her friend, sam initiated the conversation with some courage

“How are you Ananya? Looks like not feeling well”

“I m fine, nothing like that. So how are you?”

“Ya I m good, so how is the work going on for you”

“It is fine, but I have to learn many things”

Then with more courage sam said “if you need any help ping me” and gave her his employee id. Sam was hoping for a message from her. But he didn’t get any.

Next day came the most awaiting message in the OCS. It was Ananya. Sam stopped doing all his work and started replying her queries. Then he asked her why she was sad the day before. She told her that she did some mistakes in some queries so got her manager’s piece of mind. Then sam volunteered to help her professionally.

They started to converse very often and exchanged their mobile numbers too. Their professional relationship turned into a good friendship and it was in turn blossoming into a beautiful relationship. Both started to feel comfortable with each other’s company and started to spend more time together. Days went, weeks went, their binding grew stronger, and though both liked each other they never really proposed.

One fine day sam decided to propose Ananya. He was very worried and was rehearsing hard on how to propose her. He met her in the cafeteria. She was talking about her team, suddenly he asked her,

“Will you marry me?”

For a split second Ananya was speechless, though she wanted to hear it from him, she never expected the proposal to be that way. She didn’t say anything.

Again sam asked her the same question. Ananya started to blush but at the same time there was some kind of concern on her face. She said, “I don’t know whether my parents will accept it or not?” but sam was interested only in her answer. From her smiles and tears he knew the answer.

From that day onwards their relationship changed completely. They bonded more and started to spend more time and space together. There was no difference between day and night for they spent most of their time either texting or chatting. Life was very blissful for him.

Everything went on smoothly until that day. It was that fateful day that shattered all his dreams. It had been six months from that April day when he met Ananya for the first time. The day started like a normal one except there was no message from Ananya. Sam was little worried about that. He called her but could not able to reach her. He was very disturbed. Finally she called up and asked him to come to yummy ice cream parlor, where they used to spend most of their time together. Her voice was not normal, that worried him a lot. He left office early and went to the ice cream parlor.

She was waiting for him. He went near her and asked

“Are you okay? Why you did not come to office? Any problem in your house?”

She said, “Everything is fine”

“Then why you did not come to office”

Then she told him the most unexpected words, “sorry sam, I m very sorry. But I don’t have any other choice”

“I can’t get you. Why you telling me sorry?”

Ananya said, “I m getting married soon”

It struck like a thunder bolt to him. He was jolted and don’t know how to react.

She continued, “It is the end of us, we have to part. There is nothing that can be done now. Everything is over”

“I can’t let it end this way…..I just can’t…….”

“No we have to…… we have to move on….”

“No I can’t……”

“But we have to sam… we have to move on…..”

Sam was able to hear the words in distance. Someone telling him,

“Move on man…. We have reached the office …. Come on start moving…”

Suddenly sam woke up and saw he was in bus inside the office campus. His friend is asking him to get down from the bus. Sam was confused; he didn’t know what was happening.

Vinod said, “Still thinking about the white salwar girl in the stop?”

Only then sam realized that all this time he was dreaming about the girl, whom he saw for a moment when he entered the bus. Sam regained his conscious and then put iPod back in his pocket and started to get down from the bus. When he got down he was searching for the pink salwar, but it was in vain. Sam was thinking about his dream, then vinod said “dei athu epadi da stop nu sonna udane unkitta than solarange nu nenaiche……”(how come u thought that she asked u to stop the bus?). The same dialog, which he heard in his dream. He was shocked a little and thought whether he has seen his future or Final Destination movie kinda thing happening to him.

Then he reached his floor and got into the lift. When the door was about to close he heard the voice again, “stop… stop…. Stop…”. He saw vinod sporting the same mischievous smile which he envisioned in his dream. There came the pink salwar girl with her friend. Sam was totally shocked.

Not because that Ananya(the pink salwar girl) entered the lift and everything has been happening as he saw it in dream, but the girl next to Ananya, her friend was more beautiful than her. She was wearing black salwar and looked gorgeous in that.

Sam cursed himself, “How come I missed her in the dream?”

Then vinod asked him “ennada machi inniki kalaile unnoda fifteenth love story comedy ah mudinchiduchi?”(Hey dude what happened? Your fifteenth love story ended hilariously today morning).

“Aama machi but eppo seventeenth love story start ayiduchi”(yes dude, but now seventeenth love story has started)

“Enna da volarure fifteen ku apram sixteen thane da, epadi seventeen”(hey what you are saying? Sixteen only comes after fifteen right? Then how come seventeen?)

Sam smiled to himself, morning it was fifteen, in dreams he saw his sixteenth love story. Now his seventeenth love story begins………….

Sam was embarrassed of what happened to him and he was afraid that his team mate, his friend, vinod would definitely tell the incident to all his team, making him the talk of the week. The bus was nearing the office so Sam opened his eyes and saw people either immersed in music or having the power sleep as he would call. Suddenly the pretty faces which looked at him in the morning popped up in his mind, and he remembered one girl in particular, she was wearing pink color chudi which was perfectly going with her fair complexion. He didn’t see her properly because of the humiliation he encountered in the morning, but for a split second they made eye contact. And that was enough for him to capture her beauty in his mind.

He started looking for the girl from his seat. All he was able to see was the pink lining of her dupata. He adjusted his position to see her but it was in vain. The bus entered the office and everyone started getting down, Sam tried to have a look at the girl but since she was sitting in the first row she got down early. Sam was little disappointed. Vinod was still in the hangover of the morning happenings; he was teasing Sam and made him very angry. “dei athu epadi da stop nu sonna udane unkitta than solarange nu nenaiche……”(how come u thought that she asked u to stop the bus?). he was irritating him all the time till reached the office.

He reached his block and entered the lift to go to his floor. The lift was about to close when he again heard the voice “stop… stop…. Stop…” vinod too heard it and he had a mischievous smile at Sam. The lift door, which was about to close, opened like a screen to reveal the lady in pink. Yes it was the same girl, whom Sam was trying to see in the bus. For a moment his heart beat stopped. But it was only for a short moment because the girl recognized him and giggled something to her friend. He felt disappointed a little. But he was not able to control his feelings for her. She was really good and beautiful but not as mind blowing as the girl he saw in the morning. But she was looking pretty.

The floor bell ringed and Sam could hear “fourth floor…” and he has to leave the lift. But surprisingly she too got down from the lift and was wondering where to go? Sam thought of helping her but vinod was also there. So he was not ready for further embarrassment, if in case she ignores, so he went to his bay. Sam started checking his mails and was seeing whether there are any mails from onsite. Priya came near to him and said “stop stop stop..” and laughed hard. Sam understood at once that his stunt in the morning has been broadcasted successfully to the entire team by vinod.

He started to work as usual. Around 11.30 Vinod pinged him in OCS,” hey coffee?” he replied yes and they started towards the pantry. Priya too joined them for coffee. Sam got the coffee and he was quietly sipping it, while vinod was enacting every bit of what happened in the bus that morning to Priya and to other team mates. Sam’s mind was engulfed with the thoughts of the pink girl.

They reached their bay after finishing their coffee. When Sam was about to sit he saw pink chudi again. She was standing two bays away from him. Sam was wondering what she was doing there. The manager of another project came there and was talking with them.

Faintly Sam was able to hear what they were talking. The manager was introducing them to his team.
“She is Ananya, new folk from academy. She will be joining our team”

Sam started to chant her name like mantra in his mind and heart. At that time his manager called him and gave him some tasks to complete. After that, sam got immerged into his work. Two days passed by and sam never made any advances to her. That day the work extended till 8.30 in the evening. Almost everyone has left in the floor. Sam got up and saw Ananya still sitting and doing something in her system. He wanted to talk with her but was hesitant to do that so he refrained himself from approaching her. He had some more tasks to complete so after a quick break he started working again.

“Excuse me”, sam looked up and saw Ananya near him. He was totally baffled by her presence.

“Can u please tell me how to book cab, its already late and buses have left”, sam, though was speechless he composed himself and told her the procedure. She said thanks and introduced herself, “I m Ananya”. Sam said to himself “yeah I know, that is the only word that has been echoing in my mind for the past two days”. She said thanks and retired to her place. Sam was excited because he spoke with her for the first time. He finished his work and went to get his cab.

A big surprise was awaiting him, when he got into the cab, he saw Ananya.

She said, “Hi”.

Seventeenth untold love story- Part 1

It was 7 in the morning and Sam was sleeping. It was April but the sun is scorching and sucking all the water out of the body. The mobile started screaming “who let the dogs out bow bow….” Involuntarily Sam’s hand went to press the snooze button and went for a power sleep; this has been the routine for almost two years.
Sam is the protagonist of this story. He has been working in Cognizant for the past two years. He is smart and attractive. He has been living alone after getting transferred to the Chennai office a year before. He has all the gadgets from iPod to Thunderbird and enjoys his bachelorhood like a bachelor should do. He is from southern district of TamilNadu but did his college in Chennai. After finishing the college he joined cognizant and became citizen of the world. He travelled to USA twice and UK once for his onsite projects. Like all parents, his parents wanted him to get married soon but he had a dream girl in his mind and was never ready to compromise on that.
Now coming back to the April morning, five minutes have gone by and again the alarm screamed “who let……….”, but this time Sam was awake. He was feeling very tired and reluctant to go to office. He hated Monday mornings….. he took his pillow and tried to cover his face so that the penetrating morning rays don’t disturb him. But it was of no use; he sat on his bed and stretched his hands and legs. He then stood up kicked his pillow and went inside the restroom to complete his morning duties. By the time he got dressed up it was 7.40. He was supposed to board his bus by 7.40, but it’s already time. But he was cool as usual; he knows the bus won’t reach the stop before 7.45 so he geared up and locked his room. He reached the bus stop at the right time and boarded the bus.
When he entered the bus, he felt something was different, something exciting was happening to him. He was able to feel the cool breeze in the scorching sun, a sweet exotic scent amongst the polluted air; he was able to hear an enchanting voice from distance ……. “Stop, stop, stop……” , he just looked out through the door and he was awe struck.
He saw an angel dressed all in white and came running towards the bus. Suddenly he remembered his friend telling him the other day, that there are some new people gonna join the office. They are new recruits trained in academy and are released from there to join their respective offices. That time he showed no interest but now after seeing the angel in front of him he felt like flying in air. There were thousand butterflies flying inside him, but suddenly everything started moving away from him.
He got confused, he turned back and saw the driver pressing his leg hard on the accelerator…. He got angry and was not ready to let the driver spoil his dream of getting near to the girl of his dreams.
He said “anna konjam bus niruthunga …… orunthanga era varanga”(plz stop the bus, theres someone wanted to board it)… “illa sir signal pottan , signal le thandi niruthuren illana late ayidum, intha signal le thandrathu rumba kashtam”(sir let me cross the signal and stop the bus otherwise it wil get late).. but Sam was in no mood to let his dream girl suffer in this hot sun so he turned back to the driver and said in loud voice “ vandiye niruthunga avanga erinathuku aparam polam”(stop the bus , let her board it then we shall move)… driver reluctantly stopped the bus.
His lady love was moving towards him. His heart started to beat fast and he can hear its Lub-Dub sound. As she came nearer he was able to see her beautiful face. She had a long hair which was left open and it was moving like a wave, she had the best pair of lips – rosy one, her figure was perfect and she was his dream girl. She came running towards him and he had no idea what to do. He was still standing on the foot board to welcome his lady into the bus. She came near and slowed down her pace. Sam started to count the feet as she came near to him. He started to say himself, “ ten…. Nine… eight… seven… six…. Five… four…. Three… two…. One…. Zero……” his heart stopped.
She saw him and he got lost into her eyes. It was the best feeling he ever had in his whole life. Suddenly he can hear a voice, it was strong and hard… no it was not hers… it was his mind voice, he can hear it saying, “minus one…. Minus two…. Minus three… minus four….. minus five…..” he was puzzled, she was not boarding the bus , but she was moving past the bus. He had no idea what was happening there. She went straight ahead and boarded a bus which was waiting for her… yes she was not from cognizant. She belonged to another company. She came running to board her bus. Our hero Sam was disappointed, but suddenly he realized what happened a minute before. He was actually having an argument with the bus driver to stop the bus. He turned back and saw driver from the corner of his eyes…. He was looking like a villain of old age cinema with a gruesome look. Sam saw his lips moving but can’t hear what he was saying, but from his reaction he understood what those words were “%%*&*)(&*%^#$!@#$@#^%$&*^(*&^&%^%#$%$#^$%&^&*(*&)(&*%$#$#@$#^%%*&^*…….” he went calmly and sat there in the seat reserved by his friend vinoth.
His friend was laughing like anything that made him angrier. Suddenly the bus stopped, he craned his neck to see what has happened, it was the traffic signal…..RED color…..the driver tried hard to get past that signal before it turns red, but thanks to Sam’s heroics he had to halt it before the stop line and the timer in the signal clocked 180. Everyone in the bus looked at him in an awful way. He saw many new faces and some pretty faces too. But he was in no mood to think about the pretty faces. To avoid the glares, he plugged his iPod and closed his eyes.

Yesterday I was seeing match against chennai super kings and mumbai indians with lot of expectations of a thrilling match. As a chennaite I support chennai super kings. I want hayden , dhoni , raina to fire and beat the rivals. I cheered when haydos hit the balls. I was happy to see harbajan getting hit for runs. When sachin tendulkar came to bat I was praying that he should get out as early as possible. I was disappointed when bollinger’s bouncer missed sachin’s bat. I was hoping he would edge the ball. When sachin was going well I was very sad but when he retired I was happy. But again he came back to take the charge and I got so much frustrated to see him bat fearing he might take the game away from csk.
After the match got over with super kings emerging as winners I went to bed and was thinking about the match. Only then I realised that I actually wanted haydos to hit bajji for six. I wanted bolinger to take sachin’s wicket. I was wondering what I was actually wishing for. Sachin has been a player whom I always wanted to hit no matter who ever bowls at him. I always wanted hayden to get out of bajji’s ball whenever he bowls against him. But today I was actually wanted the things to happen in reverse order. When india plays I support india , I support sachin, I support harbajhan, I want hayden to get out, but now my thinking has changed. I was questioning myself have I become insane? Am I becoming hypocrat?
Then I realised with changing times and situations the thinking process of men also changes. Most people say that they stand for their principles and ready to die for the same. But how much of those promises are true. Though there are many sachin fans in chennai how many of them supported sachin in yesterday’s match. Though mumbai cheers dhoni whenever he leads indian team how many mumbaikars actually cheered dhoni when he lead csk against MI. the answer is not many.
Mind of men fluctuate at higher rate. Men always cheer and want only those things that are favourable to them. Most of them don’t care for the principles they talk of. Men are more self centered except a few. I make exception because there are few men who had lived and are living in the present, trying to make a difference by standing hard on their principles they follow. But most of the times those people are branded as lunatics. Only a few percentile in that creamy layer are recognised for the their contributions.
With the fast changing world and rising demands life has become more cynical. Darwin postulated survival of the fittest theory for animals in the evolution of world, but now humans are following that theory. With the competition around, people think mostly about their welfare rather than thinking about the welfare of the world around us.
On my to way office I saw a man met with an accident and was bleeding. There were many people passing by and most them are like me going fast to reach the office on time. No one bothered to call the ambulance or ready to provide first to that man(including me…..). a fellow is in distress and yet we think about ourselves first. I was ashamed of myself when I reached office. Though we talk so much about welfare of the world, we put our work first instead of standing by our principles.
We speak of helping people, but when we are given an opportunity to do so we are not ready to dirty our hands. People must know what they really want to do and what they can do. They must not oscillate between principles and possibilities. As gandhi said deed and creed must be the same. Even if there are many oppositions for our thought we must be brave enough to put forth our views and face them without any hesitation. We must not take refuge with the situation and excuse ourselves from deviating away from our principles. Our focus must not change no matter whatever the difficulty we have to face.
Only those who have stood by their principles have attained greater heights even after they leave this world. they have left great legacy behind them.
“Not all successful men are remembered today, but all men who are remembered today were the ones who had an unwavering will to stand by their principles.”

Whatever happens life has to go on……..

Whatever happens life has to go on……..

This has become one of the most used phrases now days when facing a tough situation. People take advantage of this phrase to shield their cowardice in facing the situations. One has to atleast give a try to break the shackles and change the situation and make it desirable. Life offers us everything but most of us are afraid to take risk and try beyond the safe zone. Nothing is impossible if we are ready to give our best to get what we want.

It is true that we have to adapt ourselves to face tough situations and get along with that, but that does not give us the liberty to surrender our wishes and desires. If we need something and there are many challenges before us, then we have to learn to face those difficulties and find a way to overcome the difficulties.

Most times in relationships people tend to use this phrase to hide their inability. They find it as the safest answer to escape from complexity of the issue. If we lead a life of unfulfilled desires then it means we have not tried enough to get the wish fulfilled. We always used to think only about the present or the near future so we tend to be happy with what we have got. But as life goes on and we don’t get what we want then life becomes misery. Life is about enjoying the moment we live and making most out of it. This can be achieved only if we have the will to fight for what we want. There are many people in the world who have struggled hard and faced many tough situations and have come out with flying colors. If they would have thought ‘ whatever happens life has to go on ‘ and if they have remained the way they were living then they would not have seen their dreams come true.

Life is all about individuals. Every individual is the architect of his own life. We must not allow others to influence our life even if it were our close relations. Because at the end of the day it is we, who have the aspirations and longing for things. We can’t let others to decide on our life. We have every right to be happy.

We should develop the tendency to fight for our rights. We should not let things go just like that without giving a fight. Especially in relationships we must not lose the person who is special to us, even if we have to take the toughest decision of our life. Because we can regain most things in our lives if we lose it once but it’s not possible to regain a person once if we lose them. We can’t sit back in a relaxed manner and say “Whatever happens life has to go on……..” without battling out to hold on to that special person in our life. Times spend with special person makes that moment very special and a lifetime means a very special life. So never let relationships fall out by saying whatever happens life has to go on………Fight hard to retain the relationships and live happily.

Sarkozy vs BURQA

French President Nicholas Sarkozy's description of Burqa as "a sign of subservience" has created a wave of shock around the world. Because a remark like this has come directly from the Statesman of one of the multicultural countries in the world. Earlier the French government had banned people from using religious symbol from government school and offices. This was targeted directly against the Muslims. But unfortunately many other religions like Judaism, Sikhism also has a culture of wearing scalp cap. Since the jews were involved the issue got serious and there were intense debates regarding this.

Before getting into the actual debate lets see why Sarkozy is so obsessed against Burqa. See the picture below you can clearly see Sarkozy intensions.

Since Burqa gives a modest look to the woman, Sarkozy can’t get involved in activities like this. He may not be able to see curves and bumps as he is seeing now (sorry for the language but I am forced to use these words). This is the main reason why Sarkozy wants to abolish Burqa. He doesn’t want to see woman in modest look. He said that the Burqa is a symbol of oppression against the women but the reality is it gives more confidence and makes woman more humble in the look. Many women who wear Burqa never complaint that they are oppressed but instead many take up hijab on their own and say that it is more comfortable for them. Many Muslims around the world have reacted strongly to this Sarkozy’s remark. In fact many women have come out strongly against this comment and have protested against this.

There have been many deaths in Gujarat due to illegal liquor trafficking. This is because the Gujarat government has banned liquor sale in any form. This is actually a welcome step but there are many people who have got addicted to this ill fated habit. What the government has to do is to first introduce programmes about the problem faced due to drinking. Though there are many programmed in the government papers there is not much action is being taken in order to execute those words in the papers.
My opinion is that Modi government has done something good in this regard. Though his government is meant to be a more biased kind of government, this is one of the best steps taken for the betterment of the society. First day of Olympics for India

Yet again disappointment for India in the Olympics. In the first day itself India saw some greater pits. There was a great hope in the shooting department but the shooters failed us. Anjali Bagawath, Aveeneth Kaur let us down in the 10 m rifle event getting 29 and 39 positions respectively. The Goldfinger of Indian shooting Samresh Jung really performed far below his own caliber scored only 570 out of 600 and got 42nd position in that event. In judo and boxing too Indians were eliminated in the first round. Another boxer managed to get into super 16 and in rowing Bajrang entered quarter finals. In badminton Saina won her first match against her Russian opponent. In women archery India was out of the competition while in men’s department a better performance was seen.
Hmmm but still Indian people are hopeful that the athletes will win the medal and make the country proud.

The couple wants to abort their foetus because it has got congenital heart disease.But the problem here is that the foetus is 26 weeks old. According to Indian law the abortion can be performed only if the foetus is under 20 weeks. Here comes the problem for Mehta’s, since it is 26 weeks old the court denied permission to go ahead with abortion.

My personal opinion is that the child should be aborted because even if it is born it has to undergo so many complications in life and moreover Mehta’s have to spend a lot of money to keep their child healthy. According to me this should come under euthanasia not as abortion. Because it also creates problem for that unborn child. Last but not the least; we must also consider how painful it must be for Mehta’s to abort their child, parents holds more love to their child than any other person in the world, when they feel that their child must be aborted we must respect their decision.

Huh at last I am writing my 50^th post in my blog. I started blogging last year and at first I found it difficult to select topics for writing the posts. And even after selecting the topic I had difficulties in deciding what to write in the posts in order to make others read my blog. But after sometime it became easy for me. It is true that experience maketh a man perfect. After six months of blogging I am finding it easy to select topics and write about them in a good manner. I started blogging because I wanted to express my views about varied issues to the world. But now it has become my hobby. I can’t go without blogging even a single day now. At first I used to write one or posts every week. But now I write two or more posts a day. Blogging has helped me to improve my language and vocabulary. Moreover I feel confident of writing about any issues. This has been truly a great experience for me. I hope that I will complete 100 blogs in coming days and I wish to continue my blogging forever.

Happening - A Review

Last week I saw Happening by Night Shyamalan. I was totally shocked after seeing the film because of the way the film ended. It made me to wonder whether it was the same person who gave us the famous Sixth Sense. Sixth Sense was a master piece and even many critics around the world still hail that film as one of the finest works of world cinema.

Coming back to the Happening it starts in the city of New York. People dying there in a mysterious way. They start to kill themselves all of sudden without any reason. This spreads to near area also. Many dying in an unusual manner. The film starts with a sense of horror and mystery. It goes well for some period making the viewers think about the different possibilities of the source of events. The director is successful in that sense and holds this mystery till the end.

But the worst part came in the end. The climax was very much unexpected. I will rate it as one of the worst climaxes of all time. The director must have considered a different end to the story which would have reasoned with the mystery it creates for most part of the story. But the director fails to deliver it in a perfect manner.

I will rate Happening 4 out of 10 scale because of the way it induces the sense of thrill in the viewers mind in the first half of the film but for otherwise it is bad.

Nuclear deal and trust vote were the words that were reverberating throughout the country for the past few days until it was completed in the Parliament. After that a fresh controversy gained significance because of the trust vote. It is nothing but our beloved MP’s taking bribes either to abstain or vote for the nuclear deal and it remains the talk of the country even today. I think this issue was given so much importance when the country is facing tough times because of the inflation rate and price hike of petroleum products. There was so much media coverage for the nuclear deal and the trust vote when the country is going through difficult period. Was this kind of hype needed for this issue? Was it blown out of proportion? Was it worth so much? If we ask these questions then the definite answer will be no.

Since the media was gaining from this issue it was been taken as the topic of discussion when there were so many problems which needed urgent attention. The inflation rate has gone down by a very small percent and how many citizens knew this? Though it was a small drop it is very significant at this time. Because India is a country of middle class people so even a small drop in price of necessary commodities will have a significant impact in their lives. But this was totally ignored and attention was given to a dirty political drama.

Now I have decided to write about my favorite book. It’s none other than Jane Austen’s PRIDE AND PREJUDICE. The best book I have ever read. I came to know about this book in my 8^th standard. It was there in my syllabus as a part of English subject. At first I read this book from examination point of view. So at that time I didn’t realize how good that book was? Then I finished my 10^th standard and I had long holidays. I was getting bored doing nothing at home so I just took this book and read for time pass. At that time I realized that the book was awesome. I started to understand its text very well. Every character in that book is carved in such manner that no flaws can be found in it. The best thing of this book is it can be related even to this modern world. Usually I don’t like romantic and light novels, but this book is a complete exception. I was so much involved in this book that I have read more than 100 times now. Whenever I feel happy or sad I will read this book. I like the scenes between Lizzy and Darcy. It will be so romantic and so much real. If I start writing about this book then I would have to write a separate book in praise of it. So I am concluding here by saying that this is one of the finest works in English Literature.

India’s defeat against the SriLankan’s was one of the worst defeats for them in the cricketing history. There was a sense of over confidence within the Indian camp. And everyone seemed to underestimate the Lankan ability. Hats off for the SriLanka for they struck to the basics of the game and really played with great composure. A special mention has to given to Ajantha Mendis. He lived up to the expectation it was no that for a youngster like him to perform so well in his debut test match. There was great reception for him when he came to bowl his firs river. He continued his job of dominating the Indians. I think he is still having the Asia Cup hangover. And Murali, I have no words to describe him. He really proved that he is a spin wizard. Great sense of commitment coupled with excellent bowling. He really did a great job against the strong Indian batting line up. Nonetheless is the contribution of the SriLankan batsmen. They really set the platform for their bowlers and gave them liberty to experiment a little bit. Overall SriLankans played a better game and completely outplayed the Indians in all forms of the game.

When I think about the classical movies of the 80’s only a few of them strike my mind like Robert Zemeckis’s ‘Back to the Future’. This is a very good Sci-Fi film well ahead of its generation. The time machine impressed me a lot that I wanted to own one like that.

Another good sci-fi movie of this era was "WarGames". It is a movie based on a young hacker Matthew Broderick, who accidentally plays a game with US Military War Computer. The 25^th anniversary of this movie is celebrated on July 24^th and this event is played in selected theatres countywide. Because of this conflict the left withdrew its support for the government. CPM asked Somnath Chatterji to resign from the Speaker post before the trust vote. Alzheimer’s Memory Walk

I went to my sister’s house last Sunday. Usually when I go to her house my sister’s mother-in-law used to welcome me with a broad smile. She is a very kind and jovial person. But when I reached her home this Sunday there was a gloomy mood in the house. My sister told that her mother-in-law has got Alzheimer disease. I was shocked to hear that. I went near to console her but she didn’t recognize me. Then my sister told me that it’s a brain disease which takes away the memory from a person. I felt heart broken to hear that there is no complete cure for this disease. I searched the internet to find a solution and came across Alzheimer association. This association conducts Alzheimer's Memory Walk every year to create awareness about the disease and raises funds for research and support. They now need volunteers and team captain for 2-3 mile walk. I am going to participate in that walk. Lets us all participate in that and fight against this fatal disease.

Finally the government survived in the trust vote. 275 votes were in favor of the government and 256 were against the government and 10 votes were abstained. So Manmohan Singh government can complete its full tenure even after the withdrawal of support from the left. But new controversy has begun because of this trust vote. Opposition claims that the MP’s were bribed either to abstain from voting or to vote in favor of the government. It is said that Amar Singh is in charge of this work. With the support of some corporate he bribed some MP’s to vote in favor of the government. Now this issue is taking a ugly turn. As said by experts this trust vote turned to be an open market where MP’s are at sale. What a shame to our country?

If this continues what will happen to India?

It’s high time we should think about these issues and we as public have to take appropriate steps in order to prevent these things.

This is the question which is echoing in nook and corner of the country at this moment. After the left withdrawing the support for the UPA government because of the nuclear deal with the U.S., the government is at the verge loosing the majority in the parliament. So the opposition has challenged the government to prove its majority. If the government fails to prove it then it has to resign and a new government has to be formed. To decide this a trust vote is being held tomorrow and the government is expected to get 271 votes in order to continue functioning.

The entire nation is awaiting for the fate of the government…..

Albert Einstein, a great Nobel Prize winner. He won the Nobel Prize for photoelectric effect. He went on world tour to explain people about his research and answered their questions. He shared his knowledge with many scientists of his time. Each time he went around he used to take his car driver along with him so that he can drive Einstein safely where ever he goes.

One day, the car diver told Albert Einstein, that he wanted to get some applause, for the discovery that Albert Einstein has made, because he was desperate to become famous like him. Einstein agreed and asked him to face the audience for a question/answer session for a particular theory and Einstein wore the dress of the car driver and stood beside him. The car driver read the written material in front of the audience. Then he had to face the question and answer session. When one person asked the difficult question, the car driver could not answer it but immediately quipped,oh!,it is so simple!, even my car driver could answer it. He fetched Einstein for the answer, who explained easily.

My college

This is my college. This is where I spent my last four years. Though the rules and regulations are very severe I enjoyed a lot. I got some gems as friends so the strict rules didn’t had much impact on me. I joined this college in 2004. At first I thought why I have joined this college? But as time went on I started to enjoy my college life a lot. Many of my friends from other college used to describe it as jail, but they didn’t know that we enjoyed more than them. I had many good and bad memories. Now my college life is over I can’t go there again as a student but my thoughts and mind will always envelop that campus.

Actor Vijay is playing the lead role in a movie titled 'MGR', directed by Perarasu. Hold your horses and don't jump to conclusions. This is a film within a film.

Vijay's dad S. A. Chandrasekhar is directing a film called 'Pandhayam' with Nithin Sathya donning the lead role. Vijay will be playing himself in the film as a guest performer. Since he plays himself, he will be depicted as though he is shooting for a film under the direction of Perarasu. And that film's title is 'MGR'.

The scene was shot in Chennai recently. Nithin Sathya, the hero of 'Pandhayam' plays a die-hard Vijay fan in the film and so goes to see Vijay shooting for a movie. Prakash Raj and Sindhu Thulani also are in the cast. Vijay Anthony has scored the music.

It may be recalled that Vijay had earlier acted in a guest role in S A Chandrasekhar's 'Sukkran'.

Since there is no revaluation Sambu has to appear for the exam the second time. This time he prepared well but unfortunately the question paper was twisted. Like Anna University question paper, the LLR question paper was tough. Sambu tried to answer the questions but unfortunately he kept the arrear for the second time.

Readers please do observe two minutes silence for Sambu’s arrears.

But Sambu was confident and he prepared very hard. At last in the third attempt he cleared the LLR test

The base period of Sensex is 1978-79 and the base value is 100 index points. This is often indicated by the notation 1978-79=100. The calculation of Sensex involves dividing the Free-float market capitalization of 30 companies in the Index by a number called the Index Divisor.

The Divisor is the only link to the original base period value of the Sensex. It keeps the Index comparable over time and is the adjustment point for all Index adjustments arising out of corporate actions, replacement of scrips etc. During market hours, prices of the index scrips, at which latest trades are executed, are used by the trading system to calculate Sensex every 15 seconds and disseminated in real time.

India is an incredilble country.All Indians should be proud of being an Indian.This is what all politicians,leaders say.But theres a dark side of this country.It is so dark that even light gets darker...This dark side of India is called CORRUPTION....It is a cancer which is now destroying our beautifull country....

This article is in reference with CNN IBN's Investigation Program called CITIZEN X....In this program the journalist uncovers the hidden dark truth of India.The journalist created a fictional character named Anand Kumar Gupta and made him acquire a genuine Indian passport, a PAN card, a ration card, a driving license and a genuine birth certificate.It took just 45 days to obtain these documents with help of middlemen or touts.Every document has its price and if it is given to these men then they will provide the original documents.And the important thing is the price of getting the originals varies according to the level of risk involved and it is bargainable.Here some of the price tags for obtaining the fakes.......

Indian passport = Rs 7,500
Ration card cost = Rs 800
Voter ID card = RS 1,800
Driving license = RS 2,500
Birth certificate = Rs3,000

All this is possible because of our corruput system.The middlemen agreed in front of the cameras that they need to bribe the officers who are responsible for issueing the concerned papers.These officers range from small clerks to the top officials.The middle men have openly admitted that they have to give money to the office people so that they give the green signal to the papers without even scrutinising the documents.All this is not happening in a remote village of our country its happening in the heart of our country...its happening in our country's capital city DELHI.....

Shocking huh but this is the reality.Now the court has got the evidences so what they are going to do .......

Will these officers be suspended?

Will they be charged under criminal case?

If punished, what will be the quantum of the punishment for those involved?

What is the next step forward for this????????????

No one knows the answers for these questions .

But if we think that we should really want to do something for our country's betterment then we shall write the answers for these questions.......Confused of what i am trying to say ah?

Hmmm let me put this way...If you were given the authority to punish these people what will you DO????????????

After all this is our country .It is our responsible to clear the weeds and make this country a BEAUTIFUL GARDEN..................

Gone are the days when people used to wonder whether Dyan Chand had any glue in his stick because of the magic he did in the hockey field................

Gone are the days when the very sight of Dhanraj Pillai created a commotion and fear in the enemy camp in the hockey field............

And few years later an new line would be added to this and it will be , 'Gone are the days when Indian team easily qualify for the Olympics..............'.

It is the black day for Indian Hockey .Never in the 80 years of Olympic history India has failed to qualify.Infact India holds 8 Olympics medals in the Hockey Discipline.The last won medal was in 1980 Olympics.But the now India has not even got a entry ticket into the Olympics.

The qualifiers for Beijing Olympics held in Chile and only the winner of the tournament will be qualified for the Olympics.India reached the final there they faced the Great Britain , which has defeated India in the preliminary matches itself.Britain defeated India by a margin of 2-0. A good coordination earned them the first goal and a penalty corner gave them the second.

Though India had penalty corners awarded to them they did not convert it into goals, the same old problem for Indian hockey team. There was no commitment by the players. They didnt show any longing to play well.

If this continues then India will be no longer in the world hockey map.Chakde India ,a film based on Indian hockey was made and the inspirational song from that movie is now a days used in the cricket field for their celebrating their success.Many hockey fans in India want to hear it in the hockey field but its not happening. This scar will remain in history forever.

Dhanraj Pillai said that the ultimate goal for any hockey player will be a Olympic gold medal.But now the same team which had Dyan Chand , Dhanraj Pillai and many other greats have failed to qualify for the Olympics..........

On seeing this many of you will be thinking that i have written this post in the early 90's.But not this is news of 2008. Sachin atlast scored his first ODI hundred in (probably his last tour) Australia.He silenced his critics who questioned his talent because of the fact that he has not scored a single ODI hundred in Australia . Now no one can say that as a reason to underestimate the talent of the little master.

Sachin scored his 42nd Hundred of just 105 in the first finals of the Commonwealth Bank series held in SCG and remained not out with 117 runs of 120 balls which includes 10 boundaries.Before the match all odds were against India .Of the 12 matches played wchich includes three finals India has never won a single match in that ground.So many of them said that India will defeated in this match.But kudos to the little master he raised on this big occasion and delivered what he is capable of.

Earlier Australia scored 239 runs with some good partnership from Andrew Symmonds and Matthew Hayden.When India started to they started steadily but lost their way after 50 runs and lost three quick wickets.Then Rohit Sharma along with Sachin scored some good 120 runs inorder to make India win this match comfortably

Prince Harry was born on September 14, 1984 in London. He is the son of Prince Charles and late Princess Dianna. He is the third to the British Throne.Prince Harry is currently a officer in the British Army and a Second Lieutenant, or ‘Cornet’, in the Blues and Royals, which, together with the Life Guards, forms The Household Cavalry.

Though he is in military he was not allowed to go to Iraq while his mates went in to fight there. He was not sent due to the security reasons.Many beleived that his presence in Iraq will jeopardise the situation there.So they didnt allowed him to go there.

But two months earlier he was sent to Afghanistan. But this was not revealed to the outside world. It was accepted after a mutually-agreed media blackout to prevent enemy forces finding him out. He served with the British army there for the past two months.This was kept as a secret till 29th Feb.

The Ministry of Defence confirmed after reports appeared on a US website that Prince Harry has been serving with the British Army in Afghanistan for more than two months.In a statement released by Defence Ministry it confirmed the reports that indeed Prince Harry has been deployed in Afghanistan.

Now since the news has been leaked to the media he will be withdrawn immediately from the battlefield as soon as possible.

At last after 52 years the record for highest First wicket partnership in test cricket which was held by the Indian openers Vinoo Mankad and Pankaj Roy has been broken.They together made a mammoth partnership of 413 runs against New Zealand during 5th Test held in Chennai on January 7, 1956.On 1st March 2008 South African Openers Graeme Smith and Neil MCKenzie have surpassed that mark and have set new world record of 415 runs before Smith got out . South African team is touring Bangladesh now. Both the openers made Centuries and added 10 runs to their over night score to acheive this milestone.

Earlier in 2006 when India was touring Pakistan , Virendra Sehwag and Rahul Dravid came close to break the record of Mankad and Roy but unfortunately fell short by three runs. But now the record which was long held by the Indians is now owned by South Africans.

In the mean time Mankand's son has expressed his disappointment over this record break..........
